Toward the beginning, I thought today was going to be yet another bust. After all, I was procrastinating and even by 10pm, I hadn’t written a word. I couldn’t bear to see another day wasted, so I took it into my own hands- sort of.
It was a slow start. A very slow start, but a start indeed.
I planned on only writing 2,000 words. (The daily minimum is 2,740.) At the rate I was writing, 2,000 seemed like a thousand miles away.
Well, I proved myself wrong. In a good way, of course. I wrote the daily minimum and realized I still had some left in me. A lot, actually. I reached the daily minimum and passed it without realizing.
When I next checked, I was 20 words away from the “other” goal I set myself, 3,000 per day. I quickly wrote that and a few more words totaling the day with 16,036 words.
I was shocked, but very pleased.
This is to show you that it’s not impossible. You can reach your goals AND beyond. And above all, don’t limit yourself to what you think you can do. You can do so much more.
That, my friends, is the tip of the day.
