I nearly forgot it’s Wednesday. I was thinking about writing a prompt for you guys and then remember. Except it’s not going to be a prompt.
I’m going to select at random…or at least dictionary.com will select at random three words.
Then (this is where you come in), then, you take five minutes out of your day and write.
Note: The first word in the writing MUST be one of the provided words. No “the,” “a,” or anything else.
Example: If the three words were: cat, bird, dog, you could start:
Cats chased the birds in the tree, but were cut short by the dogs who chased the cats in the same tree….etc.
Or: plate, plant, ran
Plates crashed on the floor and I ran away to hid in the closet. Before I reached my bedroom, a giant plant grabbed me and nearly swallowed me whole….etc…
Yes, it has to be a coherent story. No musings from the mind. And no, you do not have to use all the words in one sentence like I did.
Okay.
Open a Word document. Or WordPad. Or Notepad. Or some other kind of processor.
